Our early days

Born in Saint-Joseph-du-lac, Benoît Dumoulin grew up in a family of apple growers. His father Claude was a real estate agent for several years and a municipal councillor in Saint-Joseph-du-lac in the 1970s. His mother, Marie-Paule, was a member of the prominent Trottier family in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac.

From a young age, Benoît demonstrated an innate sense of entrepreneurship. With a solid background as a construction site manager, he founded Gestion Benoît Dumoulin Inc. in 1989, at age 25. The company specialized in residential construction.

Over the years, Benoît Dumoulin has occupied every position in the company, including sales agent, manager and sweeper. Still today, despite his busy schedule, he makes a point of making the rounds of the construction sites to ensure that operations are running smoothly.

Thanks to quality home construction and innovative models, the company has expanded. Benoît Dumoulin now has the support of a strong team of about 50 people and some 100 loyal subcontractors. These highly-qualified individuals make every effort to satisfy an ever-growing customer base.

This customer base has developed partly through word of mouth, with satisfied new owners sharing their experience with family and friends. Some of these customers are now building their second or third home with Gestion Benoît Dumoulin Inc.!

Outstanding after-sales service and attention to detail make Benoît Dumoulin one of the leading builders in the area and the person to trust when it comes to new homes.

Our projects

Since 2001, Gestion Benoît Dumoulin has been promoting residential housing development. Several projects in the area comprise over 10,000 new homes, including condos, single-family homes, semi-detached homes and townhouses.

Other major projects are being planned shortly for the North Shore, ensuring prosperity for the municipalities and providing citizens and new families who settle in the area with an exceptional quality of life.

Over the years, GBD has also added another skill to its arsenal: commercial construction.

Gestion Benoît Dumoulin has some 15 projects completed, each comprising hundreds of homes. That’s quite an accomplishment!
